What are some open source programs everyone should know? I believe image editor GIMP is an open source image editor. Also LibreOffice Suite is a free alternative to Microsoft Windows and lets you output written docs in Word if needed. Aside from that I believe there are some open source web browsers, and other apps. But what are some you think everyone should know?
There's also OpenOffice, another open-source alternative to Word, similar to LibreOffice. I used both and they work for what most people need.
