In South Korea and some other nations maybe, people go to rooms to play games. In fact, it's a cultural phenomenon there, at least as far as I know. Maybe it has been reduced or stopped, but in the early 2010s, there were some even in the smallest towns.

Here in Europe, the most I've seen are internet cafes, where people used to get together to play video games together, nowadays internet cafes have almost disappeared, as almost everyone has internet at home.

Did they ever get as popular as in South Korea? In America, these places were never popular, I think. Some exceptions might be some in big cities.
