Ever required to rebuild due to discrepancy with the land?

Like for example, a portion of the land is off, higher or not level to build a property. Maybe there was a sinkhole in the area and you need to reassess what land would be safe to build on. Has there ever been a time where you were forced to rebuild a house or property due to some sort of discrepancy?

This has never happened to me, I have always built property on the land that does not have any kind of disputes and discrepancy. However, I have seen a lot of people and business bull doze property because it has violated some laws
